The owner of Lunalux is a Minnesota RollerGirl, but you won’t find any evidence of it at her desk — she makes a conscious effort to keep the two worlds separate. Jenni Undis designs greeting cards, invitations and other customized stationery to sell at gift boutiques across the U.S. as well as the Lunalux office at 1618 Harmon Place. A press operator cranks out copy throughout the week using vintage letterpress equipment on the ground floor.
This desk is actually an old door. The adaptation works well, because computer cables can slide through the old hole for the doorknob.
One of the former owners of Lunalux was interested in ink production, and this is a bottle of brown ink from that era. Staff do not make ink anymore, but at one time they logged many hours researching old ink recipes.
These Coca-Cola bottles include a Mexican Coke. Undis much prefers Mexican Coke because it contains real sugar instead of corn syrup.
The printing press on the floor below can get pretty loud, and these windows help create a sound barrier.
